Following trends in European countries, employees of AKFA Group took part in the annual charity Samarkand Half Marathon, which this year took place online in Samarkand and other cities of the country and the world.
ALFA Group supports public and charitable initiatives and Samarkand Half Marathon did not become an exception. TOP-management, employees of departments and plants took part in it.
The charity run which is being held helps to solve the tasks of attracting public attention to the issue of inclusiveness at culture and art objects, the promotion of healthy lifestyles and the development of sports tourism in our country.

First stage of Uzbekistan road race championship among power structures was held in Tashkent. It was «Men G’olib» international patriotic race. It was dedicated to the 29th anniversary of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan Ministry of Defence, Triathlon Federation, «ProRun» running school, as well as Athletics Federation and General Sponsor — AKFA Group, conducted first stage of road race among power structures of the country in the capital.
In addition to military personnel, the first stage of the championship out of the competition program was attended by 90 invited participants — members of four running clubs and communities of the country, veterans of the armed forces and, of course, employees of AKFA Group. The company specialists were able to easily cover the distance in the allotted time.
Among the military teams, the third place went to the State Security Service, with the National Guard coming in second. The most impressive result was shown by the Ministry of Defence, whose representative reached the finish line first. The winners and runners-up were presented with gifts from AKFA Group.
Teams of representatives of the Ministry of Defence, National Guard, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Emergency Situations, State Security Service, State Customs Committee and State Presidential Security Service tested their strength in the race. Each team consisted of 30 people and 210 soldiers took part in the first stage. They had to cover a 10km distance in 70 minutes. The start — finish area was located near the Peoples’ Friendship Palace.
The organisers of the race plan to invite soldiers from other countries to the 2nd stage of the championship in May 2022. They will tackle the distance outside the competition programme. In addition, the possibility of making registration for the championships open to all comers is being considered.
